The Directorate-General for Competition, Consumer Affairs, and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) has issued a warning for consumers about a serious health risk associated with Fromages Fermiers' Petits fromages fermiers le Chasteau.
Due to the detection of non-compliance concerning the presence of salmonella, consumers are advised against the consumption of these cheese products. Salmonella, a bacterium responsible for causing salmonellosis, poses significant health risks, including gastro-intestinal disturbances such as diarrhea and vomiting.

Consumers experiencing symptoms such as sudden gastrointestinal disorders, fever, and headaches after consuming the product are urged to consult with their physicians and mention the consumption. If symptoms do not manifest within 7 days post-consumption, medical consultation is deemed unnecessary. Furthermore, cooking the products at inner temperatures reaching +65°C is advised to destroy present bacteria.
Action to take: Discontinue consumption immediately, destroy any such products you possess, and contact the provided number for reimbursement. The recall process is scheduled to end on 12/08/2024.
