Important Product Recall: Pre-cut White Cabbage

The DGCCRF has recently issued a product recall notice for pre-cut white cabbage distributed under the brand 100% Restauration due to non-compliance in Listeria analysis. Listeria monocytogenes, the agent responsible for listeriosis, poses serious health risks, particularly to pregnant women, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. The product, sold across France in 1kg sachets and distributed by Promocash and Plateformes Leclerc, should no longer be consumed.

Risks and Health Recommendations

Consumption of the affected products can lead to listeriosis, a serious infection that can cause fever, headache, muscle ache, and in severe cases, neurological complications and maternal or fetal harm in pregnant women. The incubation period can extend up to eight weeks, making vigilance essential. Anyone who has consumed this product and experiences such symptoms should consult a doctor immediately and mention the potential exposure to listeria.

Product Recall Details

If you have purchased this product, you are urged not to consume it. Instead, you should destroy the product and can seek a refund where it was purchased. The recall procedure will remain active until August 18, 2024.
